Highland Stone & Lime take a thoughtful and sympathetic approach to our conservation work, making considered decisions with respect to a building's history.
We can advise on limework services, vegetation removal, stone consolidation and wall-capping strategies to minimise further deterioration.
We offer a range of traditional stonemasonry services to ensure your building remains in good condition. From lime pointing and harling to stone replacement and repair our knowledge and experience will ensure all work is first class and long lasting.
Periodic building inspections allow us to detect damaged or dangerous masonry before it becomes high risk. High level surveying using elevated platforms or rope access is a cost effective way to carry out maintenance checks of the masonry fabric, roofs and rainwater goods. For traditional buildings this is vital to ensure their longevity.
David has over 12 years experience as a stonemason having initially trained with Historic Scotland in East Lothian.
